IDSi International Project Wins Exemplary System in Government Award at URISA
This recognition was awarded to the Maryland Department of the Environment for its implementation of the TIER II MANAGER™. URISA, an international organization that serves the information system and GIS community in government, recognized the IDSi International project for its ability to deliver significant process standardization, improved customer relations, improved compliance, revenue tracking, and increased analysis.

EPA Recognizes GEORESPONSE™ at Emerging Technology Component Conference
The award was presented for the unique result of collaborative work between IDSi International and Broadstrokes, Inc. and the successful commercialization of an EPA sponsored pilot project. The award was presented at the 2nd Annual Emerging Technology Components Conference hosted at the White House Conference Center in Washington DC. GEORESPONSE™ differs from other Emergency Notifications solutions on the market in its best-of-breed technology approach and its value added functionality. The solution provides Emergency Management with incident logging, tracking, notification, and review capabilities.

ESRI Users Conference Special Achievement Award
The award was presented to Wilson, NC Fire and Rescue Service for implementing GIS solutions in Fire Response. IDSi International was part of the GIS implementation team. IDSi International customized its product, the TIER II MANAGER™, to develop the Wilson Geographic Decision Support System (GDSS). The GDSS, developed using ArcIMS and other web-based technologies, enables Wilson City to map all its hazardous material sites. The rest of the application web-enables the current manual process of Tier II Report submission and facilitates easier report submission from chemical storage facilities. Key players like LEPC and the Fire Department can access Tier II and MSDS information real time, create vulnerability zones, and identify critical institutions and demographics information. The web-based mapping provides critical data to First Responders in the Field and at the head Communications Center.

ESRI Users Conference Special Achievement Award

Recognition was achieved for the implementation of a web-enabled GIS application, based on ArcIMS. The application won 2nd place in the Geography Network Challenge and was the first ArcIMS-based application to be actively integrated with an e-commerce payment module. Users could Search for Locations, conduct a Proximity Analysis of all nearby features, and register their locations using the site.

ESRI Users Conference Special Achievement Award in ArcGIS
The award was presented for an enterprise-wide Migration of Unix-based ArcInfo 7.x database into an ArcGIS geodatabase model using Oracle and ArcSDE. Another significant part of the project was the development of ‘aMaps’, an automated custom map generation software created using Arc Objects and VBA.

ESRI Conference Special Achievement Award
This recognition was awarded for a government MapObjects IMS-based GIS application which provided citizens with the ability to interactively Search based on very specific criteria. Users could Search by Landmarks, Services, Addresses, and Streets. IDSi programmers were key players in the development of the application, which has received excellent feedback from users for performance and utility.
